We at RCVS Knowledge are dedicated to making our events accessible and inclusive. As part of this initiative, we have launched a series of awards and bursaries. The Evidence Awards celebrate excellence in theory and practice of Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine (EBVM).
As part of the Evidence Awards, we are hosting the Reginald Snelling Student essay competition, open to all students – home and abroad – currently studying a veterinary-based degree. We invite students to submit an essay (max. 2000 words), or video submission, addressing the question:
“Discuss the impact that EBVM has had on Veterinary Medicine and how you expect this to change with the growth of Evidence-based practice”
The prize consists of one 1 day ticket to Veterinary Evidence Today 2016 on the 2nd of November, including a ticket to the black tie Evidence Awards. The successful applicant will also receive up to £200 towards travel and subsistence, and an opportunity for potential publication in Veterinary Evidence.
All awards and prizes will be presented at the annual Evidence Awards ceremony, the inaugural event being held as a gala dinner and Ceilidh at Veterinary Evidence Today: the 2016 EBVM Network conference in Edinburgh from 1st – 3rd November 2016.
To enter the competition, please send your submission to firstname.lastname@example.org.
